Magic the Gathering Time Spiral Booster Pack Overviews

Time Spiral features 301 cards, plus 121 extra "timeshifted" reprint cards from Magic's past, with randomly-inserted prime cards. All cards, including the timeshifted cards, are tournament legal. The set includes 121 commons, 80 uncommons, and 80 rares, plus the 121 timeshifted cards with their own rarity. It will be available in booster packs, theme decks, tournament packs, and Fat Packs.

Starting with Time Spiral, there has been a convert in how prime cards are distributed. Previously, prime cards replaced a card of the same rarity, so a prime rare would replace a thorough rare, a prime uncommon would replace a thorough uncommon, and a prime base would replace a thorough common. In Time Spiral and in time to come sets, all rare, uncommon, and base prime cards will replace a thorough base instead. It is now possible for there to be two rares in one pack: the thorough rare card plus a prime rare (which replaces a thorough common).
